Europe’s best gathered in Herning
In September, MCH Messecenter Herning hosted Europe’s largest celebration of vocational education. With almost 600 participants from 32 countries, 38 award ceremonies and an audience of up to 5,000 guests at the opening and closing ceremonies in the Jyske Bank Boxen, the event was a magnificent tribute to professionalism at the highest level. The week attracted a total of more than 100,000 visitors, and the ceremonies kicked off the celebrations of the many talents.
ProShop Europe delivers the whole package
For EuroSkills, ProShop Europe delivered a complete solution with sound, lighting, LED screens, content, rigging and camera coverage. The visual framework was set by a 14 x 6.5 meter LED main screen, two 6 x 8 meter IMAG screens, a custom-built LED cube, over 150 meters of LED facia and a custom-made award podium with built-in LED. In total, more than 200 m² of LED was installed, which together created sharp images and beautiful scenography.
The lighting design included over 460 fixtures, which provided dynamics and atmosphere throughout the show. The audience and stage were connected throughout, and seven cameras captured every moment and brought the experience closer. The entire show was centrally controlled from our media servers, so that graphics, video and lighting played together.
Colorful content for the entire show
In addition to the technical setup, ProShop Europe also provided the full visual content for the show and ceremonies. Our graphics department Shapes developed everything from background graphics to animations that tied the entire program together.
The opening ceremony was presented with welcome graphics, host names, live backstage camera and entrance sequences, while background loops and build-up videos created energy and variety. The closing ceremony was held in a golden carpet of visual elements, where medal graphics for each professional group, live interviews, party loops and the big handover video set the stage.
The content was tailored for EuroSkills and supported every moment on stage.
The technical execution
In just a few days, the entire setup was built by a team of 25 ProShoppers who worked closely together to ensure a smooth show throughout the four event days.
Overall, ProShop Europe delivered a seamless AV solution, where lighting, sound, screens, content and camera coverage were integrated into a higher unit. The result was an opening and closing ceremony on an international level, which set a great framework for EuroSkills Herning 2025.
